Stone veneer

a great way to beautify your existing chimney or new construction project is with stone veneer. Stone veneer comes in many forms. culture or manufactured stone is a man-made stone. Natural stone veneers, on the other hand our natural stone which is cut down to allow easy installation. 

The process for laying both natural and cultured stone veneers is very similar. You begin by applying an expanded metal, oftentimes called wire mesh. this message is secured to the existing structure, with either tap cons or galvanized roofing nails.

After applying expanded metal a scratch coat is applied this is a  layer of mortar it is traveling to the expanded metal and then textured to allow the stone to grip.

After applying the scratch coat the stone veneer coat is applied. stone is coverd with mortar and then set in place applying the stone with enough pressure until it holds so firmly in place without moving
